Being Kind or Being Fair? ~ Tuesdays Blog Walk

    Tuesday Blogwalk

    Topic provided by: Aditi

What do you think is more appropriate in a situation - Being Kind OR Being Fair (when the two are very distinct options) ? What are you more likely to do - Be kind Or Be fair ?

This week the question comes from Aditi.

Well, I think that this question has to really be approached from the situation at hand.   In alot of situations you have to be both but what is more important comes from what type of situation you are dealing with.   I also feel that in some situations you can be both.  This is harder to do of course but it is achieveable.

I think that I tend to be more kind.  I don't like to hurt other peoples feelings. I have a hard time not being kind.

When I am waiting in traffic, being fair is usually what I tend to do.  I feel that if I let a car cut in front of me then the car behind me should do the same thing.  I know this is not how it always works because alot of people don't care about being fair to others. I think it is only fair to trade back and forth like that.  Specially true if you are at a concert or special event, where everyone is trying to get out.  But I find that others see that as being kind.

Treating my children with kindness and fairness in hopes they will repay their spouse (if they marry), children (if they have any) and other people in general in the ways that I have shown them.  I sometimes feel that "we" as a world have forgotten what being kind is about.  Everyone seems to be looking out for themselves and we have forgotten to look out for each other.

There is a difference and there are many ways to be fair and kind.  I believe this is a great topic and something that we all need to think about.  We need to list to our hearts more thenwe do.

Hey, thanks for the visit!! I think your resopnse was really nice. People do need to be kind to make the world a better place, but at the same time, you need to be fair for the same reason. So they need to co-exist peacefully.

    Take care,
